What is RF Combiner?

RF combiners and dividers, also known as combiners and splitters, are multi-port devices and modules that combine or split RF signals between a single port and the other ports. These include Wilkinson splitter/combiners and so on. RF combiners are devices that combine RF from a variety of sources. This is accomplished while maintaining the system's characteristic impedance. Depending on the type of combiner, additional losses may be introduced by the use of resistors, or it may employ a transformer, in which case it is theoretically lossless.

How does RF Combiner work?

RF Power Combiner simply combines different signals in a single output. In the above case, the signals are transmitted over port 2 and 3, go out through that output.
