Vibration test is often used to simulate actual vibration in a typical or worst-case scenario.
Typically, the severity of the test is significantly higher than typical real-world vibration levels. This is done in order to conduct tests that simulate the life of rf passive components(rf directional coupler,2way power splitter,etc)over hours, days, or weeks. There are also milder tests, such as environmental stress screening, which aims to weed out weak parts that will fail early in practical operation, and then only deliver to customers those parts that have proven their tolerance through mild enough testing that does not significantly reduce the expected remaining life of the product. While the test amplitude is usually higher than the desired real-world amplitude, the shape of the vibration test signal is designed to closely correlate with the desired actual signal shape
